A new Australian startup Bonza that will only start flying in the middle of 2022, says it has been swamped with job applications.
"There are some wonderful and experienced aviation professionals available out there who are looking to get themselves back into the industry," the airline's CEO, Tim Jordan, said.
Bonza requires candidates to be eligible for working and living in Australia and asks potential employees whether they are interested in working part-time or full-time. There will also be many back-office roles (e.g., sales and administration) that can be taken remotely.
The airline will start with a couple of Boeing 737 MAXs but plans to increase that to eight Boeing 737 MAX aircraft within 12 months of first flying.
